GRF Internship core areas of impact related to public health and disaster readiness/response.

A description of the internship framework is as follows:
- Risk scanning and prioritization
- Identify areas of potential, imminent, and current disaster conditions for fee for service EM response needs
- Identify non, fee for service opportunities based on regional needs (extensive GRF team support available)
- Identify communities interested in resilience (proactive vs responsive) disaster strategies
- Outreach to emergency management, response, and resilience partners
- Outreach to introduce GRF capabilities and ability to
- 1) deploy teams immediately;
- 2) provide competitive costs as a nonprofit on immediate deployment basis
- Core content provided by GRF but open to nuance improvements based on intern and other collected information
- Outreach to introduce GRF capabilities and ability to
- State/federal vendor and contractor onboarding support
- Researching needs for each state/region (US and international) and completing onboarding for every state/region, based on high priority to low priority determinations
Ancillary areas of impact (not required, but appreciated and valued):
- Increase awareness and presence among social media and related campaigns
- Simply expand awareness amongst appropriate populations
- Wide range of campaigns and open to input from intern (some material already available)
GRF commits to reliable leadership and guidance for interns. Encouraging independent and required information collection to encourage positive outcomes for communities at any stage in disaster preparedness and recovery. We want to open the conversation, rather than have a rigid set of conditions in which we will deploy our expertise and services.
