Dorothy Lolagne

Dorothy Lolagne is an aspiring television writer pursuing her MFA in Screenwriting at BU. She grew up in Orlando, Florida where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing at the University of Central Florida. As a graduate assistant with the student engagement team and supporting the Career Ambassador Program at the CCD, she brings her previous experience as a writing tutor for a university writing center and years of professional experience in higher education working in operations, admissions, and degree completion. In her free time, Outside of writing, Dorothy enjoys reading, watching television and film, music, dance, and walking alongside the beach during sunsets in South Florida.

Edom (she/her/hers) is a Graduate Assistant in Data Analytics at the CCD and an MSBA student at MET. Prior to joining the CCD, she held marketing positions at Amazon and the American Gastroenterological Association. Edom is passionate about utilizing data to understand how systems within educational institutions can service students to positively impact their career trajectories. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Cornell University and an Associate of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Montgomery College. In her free time, she loves to read sci-fi, history and mystery/thriller books, create pottery, explore and walk through Boston’s neighborhoods, and bake pastries!

Elizabeth Topete is from Chicago, Illinois, and is a senior studying Economics with double minors in Hospitality and Sociology. She is a member of BU’s Latin dance team, Sabor Latino, where she shares her passion for music and dance. Elizabeth is also a part of Chicago Scholars, an organization that supports first-generation students in navigating higher education. She is passionate about addressing disparities in the education system and promoting equity across the student body. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys playing the violin, attending concerts, and discovering new food spots.

Madison Whisnant is a senior studying Economics and Mathematics who is originally from Niagara Falls, New York. On campus, Madison is the President of BU’s Undergraduate Women in Economics, and the Executive Vice President of BU’s Alpha Kappa Psi. She is also involved in several culture clubs and enjoys being involved in a multitude of student activities. Venessa Odera is originally from Kenya and grew up in Plano, Texas. At Boston University, she has been deeply involved in community service and mentorship. Serving as an ambassador for the Kilachand Honors College as well, Venessa helps incoming students and their families transition into the program by hosting welcoming meet-and-greet events. Through the Petey Greene Program, she had the opportunity to tutor students and support staff at a local juvenile center, reinforcing her commitment to educational equity. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, exploring new cuisines, and guessing plot twists in documentaries.
